A great number of corporations and organizations in Nigeria offer Nigerian undergraduate students full-time or partial scholarships. These scholarships offer Nigerian students the ability to study in Nigerian Colleges, Universities or Polytechnic institutes. The scholarships vary in the amount, as well as method of payment. For example, while some scholarships may offer full-time or partial scholarships, others offer grants and loans that enable students to complete their studies without financial worries. Without the scholarships awarded to these deserving students, most will not be able to continue their higher educations. The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited Scholarship Scheme offers students in all Nigerian universities an annual grant for the full duration of the course. The aim of the Shell scholarship is to improve skills of young Nigerians and promote academic excellence. The program is divided into two categories. These are the National Merit Award (NM) and Areas of Operation Merit Award (OM). NM is open to all Nigerian undergraduates while OM is open to students from communities where Shell Nigeria operates. Applicants who meet the eligibility criterion should submit a resume, two recent passport-sized photos, photocopy of the university of JAMB admission letter, photocopies of UTME scores, O/Level results etc. Applicants interested in applying for the Shell Scholarship should visit the relevant website and obtain all information regarding the application process before submitting their applications.Total Nigeria National Merit Scholarship
The Total Scholarship in Nigeria is another merit scholarship award program to first and second year students. This is an award program organized by Total (E&P) Nigeria Limited in order to promote educational development in Nigeria. Total scholarship in Nigeria is for undergraduate students in recognized Nigerian universities. Students have to be in their first or second year of study and should not be beneficiaries of other scholarships. They should have proof of SSCE or equivalent certificate, UME scores and admission to the course of study. Qualifying courses include accounting, business administration, banking, finance, environmental sciences, law, medical sciences etc. Applications can be submitted online, and forms are available at the official website.

NAOC National Scholarship Scheme
The NAOC National Scholarship Scheme is awarded by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited. There are two types of awards. These are the Host Communities Merit Award, which awards applicants from NAOC host communities, and the National Merit Award which is for applicants from non-host communities. Students eligible to apply for the National Merit Award should have obtained 275 marks or above in the admission examination conducted by JAMB. Applicants need to be registered full-time for undergraduate studies in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.

Nigerian Girls Scholarship Fund
There are several scholarships in Nigeria aimed at females. As many Nigerian females are unable to continue higher education, PCNAF has established a scholarship program specifically for the benefit of Nigerian girls who lack financial aid to continue secondary school education. All Nigerian girls regardless of ethnicity are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The fund helps support female students until the completion of their secondary education. Awarding criteria depend on academic performance as well as the applicant’s financial need and services rendered to the community. Tuition, books and living expenses are paid for by the scholarship program. Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students
This program enables Nigerian undergraduate and postgraduate students the ability to study in Nigeria Higher Institutions. Scholarship candidates should be registered full-time in a recognized Federal or State University. Those enrolled in Polytechnics and Colleges of Education are also eligible. Applicants should also have a CGPA of 4.0. Students need to supply a letter of admission to the institution, course registration form, Student ID and two passport-sized photos along with their application forms when applying.Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarships
Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarships are awarded to 40 Nigerian students of high academic standing for further education. MTN Scholarships
MTN Scholarships are awarded to Nigerian students with high academic performance the ability to further their education. It will provide N200,000.00 per student each year, and will pay in each academic session start.

PDTF Scholarship for Nigerians
PDTF Scholarship for Nigerians is awarded by the Petroleum Technology Development Fund for Nigerian students interested in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The PTDF(Petroleum Technology Development Found) holds a competetion named "The PTDF ANNUAL OIL AND GAS RESEARCH GRANT COMPETITION".
